Grade Calculator

Calculate your final grade based on your assessments' scores with weighted percentages.

How the Grade Calculator Works

This grade calculator allows you to calculate your final grade based on multiple assessments, such as exams, assignments, and homework, with weighted percentages. Here’s a breakdown of how the calculator works:

Step 1: Input Grades

For each assessment (Exam, Assignment, Homework, etc.), you can select your grade. The available grades are:

  • A (4.0 points)
  • B (3.0 points)
  • C (2.0 points)
  • D (1.0 point)
  • F (0.0 points)
Select the grade corresponding to your performance for each assessment.

Step 2: Input Weights

Each assessment has a weight that represents its importance in your overall grade. For example, an exam might be 50% of your final grade, and an assignment might be 20%. Enter the percentage weight (0 to 100) for each assessment. The total weight of all assessments should add up to 100% for an accurate final grade calculation.

Step 3: Add or Remove Assessments

You can add new assessments (e.g., practical exams) or remove assessments as needed. Simply click the "Add New Assessment" button to add a new row and provide the grade and weight. If an assessment is no longer needed, you can click the "Remove" button next to that assessment.

Step 4: Real-Time Calculation

As you input grades and weights for each assessment, the final grade is calculated automatically in real-time. This means you can see your updated final grade as soon as you change any of the input values. The final grade is calculated by weighting the grade points for each assessment according to its weight.

Final Grade Calculation

The final grade is calculated using the following formula:

Final Grade = (Grade Points * Weight) / Total Weight
Where the Grade Points are based on the selected grade (e.g., A = 4.0, B = 3.0, etc.), and the weight is the percentage you input for each assessment. The calculator will sum the total weighted grade points and divide them by the total weight to get your final grade.

Step 5: Viewing the Final Grade

Once all assessments have been entered with their respective grades and weights, your final grade will be displayed at the bottom of the page. This final grade is the weighted average of all your assessments and provides a quick way to estimate your overall performance.
